Delphyne Bella Panther-Brutzkus
About Me
Hi! My name is Delphyne Bella Panther-Brutzkus. I'm a Chicago IL born and based filmmaker. I received my BFA in Digital Cinema with a concentration in directing from DePaul University. While my focus is on directing, while I write, edit, and produce my own independents productions. I also have experience with hand drawn and digital animation as well as stop motion and Claymation animation. I have experience with hair, makeup, costume and production design department in addition.
During this time I've accumulated several screenplays, and shorts. I've worked alongside filmmaker Haroula Rose in her second directorial debut All Happy Families, in which I'm credited as assistant to the director.
Within film I love incorporating elements of experimental film in most if not all of my work. Whether it be clear in visuals or concept I pull form this background. I am a very involved filmmaker from beginning to end. My work focuses on the big picture down to the minute details.
I'm pulled to works with a strong sense of self, self awareness and strong in humanity. Work that has a soul individual to itself but related to one another. I pull strongly from my own experience and from those around me. In my work I aim to see the humor and humility of the everyday mundane and unusual.
